Feature Friday – @Beersandbedtime

Welcome to the first Feature Friday post! In the past year I have created so many friendships with flight attendants, travel bloggers and craft beerstagrammers! I really wanted to start showing off some of my favorite people that I’ve met and start building up a community of like minded people.

If you’d like to be featured please email me: willtravelforbeer@thehoppyflightattendant.com

Below, meet Rachyl who you can find on Instagram @beersandbedtime I have followed her for a while now & can’t wait to be able to go meet her and have a beer at 7seasbrewing!

Tell us a little about who you are?

Hi, I’m Rachyl. Mom of 2 and craft beer obsessed. Currently the marketing manager and beertender at a brewery in the PNW

How did you get into craft beer?

Once I realized there was beer that didn’t taste like Bud Lite I was hooked. Ambers were my “gateway” beer to craft.

Your first beer &/or first brewery you went to?

My first Craft beer love was Alaskan Amber.

Beer you recommend to everyone?

Generally I don’t have one beer I always recommend but I whole heartedly suggest anything from Fort George or Block 15.

Worst beer you’ve ever had?

First that comes to mind was a Farmhouse that was WAY too funky (Think Horse manure). But also had a kettle sour with coffee that was straight vomit 🤮

What styles of beer do you prefer?

Love IPA’s, lagers, stouts, sours. If it’s barrel aged or wild then I’ll probably love it. Barleywines are also a long time fave.

Your favorite brewery?

See above 👆🏻 Fort George and Block 15 🙌🏼

What brewery is on your bucket list to visit?

Jester King is one of many but the goats and orchards put it at number 1

Seltzer or Nah? Do you drink anything besides beer?

Nah! If there is good or decent beer available I will ALWAYS choose beer.

Anything else to add?

I think my favorite part about beer is the constant evolution of styles and a life time worth of learning ahead of me.

That’s all for this Feature Friday! See you next week!
