Feature Friday – @Nicholethenomad
Welcome back to another Feature Friday post! In the past year I have created so many friendships with flight attendants, travel bloggers and craft beerstagrammers! I really wanted to start showing off some of my favorite people that I’ve met and start building up a community of like minded people.
If you’d like to be part of a future feature Friday please email me: willtravelforbeer@thehoppyflightattendant.com Or message me on Instagram @thehoppyflightattendant
Below meet my friend Nichole. She’s a down to earth travel blogger from New England and she makes funny, relatable and gorgeous TikToks of all her hiking adventures!

Tell us a little about you…
Hi there! My name is Nichole, and I am the creator behind Nichole the Nomad. I am a photographer, blogger, hiker, and adventure addict based in New England who has a deep passion for capturing the world in a beautiful light. My goal is to use my photography, blog, and social media to show how beautiful the world is and inspire others to find their adventure, whether it be in their backyard or across the world!
How did you get started blogging?
My husband, Alex, and I were the first of our friends and family to take vacations to places other than beaches. I originally created Nichole the Nomad to allow our friends and family to follow along on our travels around the world. Then I quickly realized how much I enjoyed blogging and wanted to reach a bigger audience. I rebranded Nichole the Nomad and began creating content that would help and inspire others to travel!
Where is your favorite place you’ve travelled to?
Iceland is by far my favorite place I have visited! The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and very diverse. One minute you are viewing an epic 400-foot waterfall cascading off of a mossy cliff, and the next minute you are standing at the foot of a glacier. Iceland is one of those places I could go back to a million times and never get over the beauty. It is truly a magical place!

What’s your best travel tip or hacks you’ve learned in your travels?
Be flexible! I am someone who loves having a plan and staying organized, but I used to become easily stressed if things didn’t go according to plan. I learned quickly I need to be more flexible and roll with the punches because life can throw anything at you! Traveling is an adventure, and all of the crazy mishaps are part of it!
Any advice for someone who wants to run their own travel blog?
The best advice I can give to someone who wants to run a travel blog is to go for it! Have a plan, but don’t have a plan at the same time lol! Running a blog is a constant learning experience, and there will be many ups and downs. It’s important to have a clear goal but also to be flexible and take things as they come. Be confident in yourself and what you offer as a travel content creator. Too often, we overthink things and let our fears or what others think dictate what we do. When that happens, remind yourself why you began the journey and what you want to accomplish!
Any future travel plans coming up?
With everything going on, it’s hard to say where I will be traveling to next. I am currently exploring parts of New England I would normally overlook, which has been so much fun! If things begin to open up, I am hoping to travel back to Iceland!

Your least favorite thing about traveling?
This is a tough question! I guess if I had to choose something, it would be flying. I don’t hate flying by any means, but sitting on a plane for a long period of time is not something I love to do lol! But flying gets me from point A to point B, so I can’t complain!
Your favorite part of traveling?
I love being able to explore the beauty each country has to offer and learn about different cultures. There is something special about how each area of the world lives so different from the other and how every country offers something unique. Traveling also allows us to connect with people from all over the world! I don’t think enough travelers take time to talk to locals or one another while traveling. I have met some incredible people from different parts of the world who have shared amazing stories. The world has so much beauty to offer not just in landscapes but in people, too.
That’s all for this feature friday! Make sure to follow along with Nichole’s hiking and traveling adventures on her Blog, her Instagram, and on TikTok!
